OFW Guide to Pag-IBIG Online — Registration, MP2 Savings, and Loan Management From Abroad
Overseas Filipino Workers can access all Pag-IBIG services remotely through Virtual Pag-IBIG. The fund has designed specific features for OFWs, addressing time zone differences and alternative ID requirements.
OFW Registration
Select 'OFW Account Creation' when registering. Provide your MID number or passport number and country of residence. Upload your employment contract or OEC. Verification by the Pag-IBIG OFW desk within 2 to 3 working days. Once approved, full premium access is available.
MP2 Savings for OFWs
The MP2 program is ideal for OFWs due to high dividend rates and five-year maturity aligning with typical contract cycles. Set up recurring contributions via auto-debit from foreign bank accounts through cross-border payment partners. No upper limit on contributions.
Loan Applications From Abroad
MPL and Calamity Loans can be applied for entirely online with no physical documents needed. Proceeds are disbursed to Philippine bank accounts or GCash accessible by family members. Housing Loan requires property documents that may need a representative in the Philippines.
